In recognition of his contribution to the university to which he has now given about $250 million over time, the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Campus in Oklahoma City has, effective immediately, been renamed the Harold Hamm Health Campus at the University of Oklahoma. Date was September 22nd, 2026.

It’s a fitting honour for a man who, though at no time a student of the university, has developed a special fondness for the school and its efforts as pertains healthcare research. And having grown up in the town, though eventually attending another university, he clearly has an emotional connection with the school owing its robust track record in specialized research initiatives as well as for its widely acclaimed capability for excellent training of healthcare workers who pass through its portals. Harold Hamms’ petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company, Continental Resources, is headquartered in Oklahoma.
